If the workday leaves you stressed and exhausted, it will carry over into home life. Manage your stress by being self-indulgent; leave work at work and make your home an oasis:
I drive 63 miles one way to work… you don’t have to tell me, I know that’s crazy.
Depending on traffic, it can take one to two hours to get to the office. There are days that I am ready to go home and rest before I’ve even started working… thankfully, those days are few and far between.
But my commute to work is a fact of life, a fact that isn’t always pleasant; at times my drive is filled continue reading...

There’s not one vase, or two.

We were in Hawaii a couple of years ago, on a family vacation, window shopping in downtown Kailua (on the Kona coast).
My youngest son and I stopped at a shop that had delicious body scrubs. The scents in that shop alone were a wonderful aromatherapy experience. The sales lady quickly zeroed in and had us trying different body scrubs in no time.
The body scrubs were made with Dead Sea Salt and infused with essential oils and natural Hawaiian fragrances.

Cheryl LIVES at the Yankee Candle company.
You can find any scent at that store.

I was at a day spa a week ago.
The spa had cucumber and lemon water.
It was DELICIOUS.
I’ve had cucumber water before.
I’ve had lemon water before.
But I’ve never had cucumber and lemon water.
I made some when I got home to bring back that spa life feeling.
I used a clear plastic pitcher so it would look nice.
It was so easy to make.
I just sliced half a lemon and half a cucumber continue reading...
