I hate to floss my teeth.
Flossing is a chore I despise.
So at my dental appointment last week, I asked my dentist if I REALLY needed to floss my teeth daily.
He said no.
NO???!!!! I asked again to make sure I heard him correctly.
He repeated no. “Just floss the teeth that you want to keep.”
Gulp… huh???
“Just floss the teeth that you want to keep.”
Well, that answer sums it up… if you want to keep your teeth, floss.
Then my dentist shared other benefits of flossing regulary with me… when you floss your teeth regulary, you DECREASE your risk of heart disease, diabetes, and head and neck cancer. A decrease isn’t a guarantee, but a decreased risk of heart disease, diabetes, and head and neck cancer is good.
I still hate it, but I’m flossing EVERY DAY.
This might seem weird, but I hope that you are flossing all of your teeth every day, too.
Take good care of yourself.
Practice good health.
Be healthy.
Live in Zen. :)
